WONDERLAND

My wife, Jodi Jacyk and I recently teamed up to design a show for a Downtown Eastside childen's theatre program called Project Limelight. Jodi designed and built the costumes (with generous help from a few people in the Vancouver theatre community), and I illustrated the sets. Big thanks go out to Alan down at Fidelis who was a also a great help in creating the large scale prints needed to make the backdrops come to life.
WONDERLAND is an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, features 26 young performers, ages 8 – 12, who have worked together to create a show for their friends, family and community. The program offers youth living in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and surrounding area, a safe place to build an artistic community. 

WONDERLAND is running for 2 performances only on Saturday June 2, 2012 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Fei and Milton Wong Experimental Theatre / SFU Woodwards 149 West Hastings St. Vancouver, B. C.

Hot Art | Wet City - Interview

Here's the interview I did with Hilary Henegar from Hot Art Wet City in my micro-studio. I'm always amused to see a film crew try to squeeze into this hot, tiny space. The Last Gig

My first exhibition for 2012 is with Chicago artist Netherland who's asked a few artists to make limited edition posters for his upcoming solo show at Rotofugi. They're in edition of only 25 with 10 available in a set. Individual prints are $25 and the set of all 6 will be $125. These prints will be available Friday, January 13th.
